Description
Lately, the issue of water supply in the Novohradivska community has become more acute than ever. The Karlivska filtration station, which supplies water to the community, often stops working due to power outages. The water pipeline of the Siverskyi Donets-Donbass canal was damaged as a result of shelling. The pumping station of the 1st stage of the South-Donbass water supply system also remains de-energised due to the lack of access to repair and restore water supply.
As part of the local programme, during the hostilities, the community managed to partially provide residents of Novogrodivka with an alternative source of technical water supply.
In addition, the residents of the settlement are in need of drinking water, so a well was drilled at the location of the utility company “Komunteh” in Novogrodivka (5 Molodizhna Street), whose water quality almost meets the drinking water standards. To be fully compliant, there is a lack of reverse osmosis systems, ozonators and drinking water storage tanks.
Unfortunately, the local authorities cannot purchase these materials and equipment on their own, so we created this project to supply local residents with drinking water.
